Philosophy department to host lectures

The Philosophy Department 1999 Jellema Lectures will be presented by Merold Westphal of Fordham University. Westphal’s first lecture, titled “Onto-theology, Metanarrative & Christian Discourse,” will be on Wednesday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. His second lecture, “Perspectivism & Christian Truth,” is Thursday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m. Both lectures will take place in the Seminary Auditorium.

Homosexuality discussed by students

A Community Approach to Gay Issues will present a lecture by gay students entitled “A Homosexual’s Experience in a Heterosexual World” on Thursday, April 22. A second lecture will take place on Thursday, April 29 entitled “A Political Perspective on Homosexuality” by Political Science professor Simona Goi. The lectures will begin at 9:30 p.m. in the Meeter Center.
