Old Kent leaves students unaccounted for

Old Kent customers who have an ATM card now have to pay more for this “privilege.”

Old Kent Bank’s attempt to revamp their checking account system has caused many students to rethink their choice of financial institution, despite the fact that Old Kent is the only bank which is represented on Calvin’s campus.

Old Kent eliminated its Basic Checking account on November 1. As the account included an ATM card and required no minimum balance, most students who patronized the bank held this account.
