The Weekly Thing After taking a brief hiatus out of sheer laziness, we are inordinately pleased to announce the return of The Weekly Thing. Well, perhaps “inordinately” is a bit strong, but at any rate, we are feeling pretty o.k. about this. Anyway, here’s what’s going on this week: Friday the 7th - Shawn Colvin will be at the Fine Arts Center at 8pm. Sister 7 will be at The Intersection sometime tonight, too. We hear that they’re an excellent live group. Saturday the 8th - The Film Arts Committee will be screening Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory. 8:03 in the Commons Lecture Hall. Monday the 10th - The Verve will be at St. Andrew’s in Detroit. Sorry, kids - already sold out. Wednesday the 12th - Martin Sexton will be performing in the Lab Theater at 8:03. Tickets are $2 with a Calvin I.D. Stereolab will be at the Metro in Chicago Wednesday and Thursday. Call for info.
