Prince comes of age
Last year, after nearly two years of conception and twelve-plus months of pregnancy, Calvin College gave birth to the Prince Conference Center. Although the labor was not as smooth as hoped and there were some unexpected complications, the project was born and has thrived in its first year. On Wednesday, Oct. 1, Calvin marked the first birthday of the Prince Conference Center with cake, punch, coffee and open doors to anyone who wanted to see the building.

Calvin enforces 'taxing' employee paperwork law
Calvin has started to strictly enforce a federal law requiring all employees to have their new-hire tax and I-9 forms filed before they begin working.

McGregor Fellows present their summer research
Last summer, eight students worked closely with faculty mentors in the Humanities and the Social Sciences to research a variety of topics such as worship, spirituality, AIDS, Confucius and politics. Chosen among a highly competitive pool of 51 applicants, these students worked full time for 10 weeks and received $3,200.
