Tuition for next year will go up 6.5 percent, a $1,600 increase from this year’s tuition, bringing total costs to $22,615, President Gaylen Byker announced Monday. According to Krista Spahr, student computing specialist for Calvin Information Technology, “In the past there’s always been virus activity but it hasn’t been as significant.”

But contrary to popular opinion, this newspaper isn’t put together by a group of monkeys at typewriters. We use computers. Seriously, though, a lot of work goes into this newspaper every week, and the staff takes pride in its work. To give our readers a better sense of what putting together this publication is like, Chimes would like to present a week in the life of a student newspaper.
