Campus Safety Report
Tuesday 1/15
-At 10:45 p.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in the Physical Education Building. A student had been struck in the eye by a kicked soccer ball. The injury was complicated by the fact that the victim was wearing contact lens. An R.A. volunteered to take the victim to the Medical Center for treatment.
Tuesday 1/22
-At 2:30 a.m. Campus Safety observed two students in the Kalsbeek/Huizinga parking lot that appeared to be intoxicated. The students were escorted to their Residence Hall and turned over to their R.A.
-At 3:05 p.m. Campus Safety observed a subject entering Zeta/Lambda Residence Hall through a ground floor window. The subject identified himself as a friend of a student living in Zeta/Lambda Residence Hall. Identification was obtained from the subject and he was escorted out of the building.
Thursday 1/24
-At 1:30 p.m. a student reported receiving a harassing phone call. The information on the call was turned over to the Telecommunications Department for further investigation.
Saturday 1/26
-At 12:30 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in Kalsbeek/Huizinga Residence Hall. A student was complaining of a shoulder injury after wrestling. An ambulance was requested and the victim transported to Spectrum Health Blodgett for further treatment.
-At 1:45 a.m. a student reported that several vehicles in the Noordewier/VanderWerp short term parking lot had been struck by eggs.
-At 10:45 a.m. Campus Safety investigated a one vehicle accident on the west roadway. A vehicle had struck the guard rail and rolled over. The driver of the vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to Spectrum Health Butterworth for treatment.
-At 7:45 p.m. Campus Safety assisted Food Service employees at the Knollcrest Dining Hall in locating two students who were hiding in the building. The students were located and escorted out of the building. The information on the students was turned over to the Dean's Office for further action.
