This week at Student Senate
``I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.'' -Philemon 6
Christians must share their faith with others. All of us have different styles of sharing, some are confrontational and some are intellectual, and still others are relational. But the important thing is that we find our style and that we share our faith in an authentic way. God wants us to use the resources we have to TELL others about his love for us, because he cares for us.
Just like God wants us to share how amazing he is, we, here at Student Senate want you to hear what you have to say. We want to know what YOU think about the Smoking Policy, off-campus housing, and the Board of Trustees Report. This is why we had our first Town Hall meeting held in the Fishouse on Monday. I want to thank those students who came out and raised questions about the campus radio station, the smoking policy, and the problem with off-campus housing and parties. We did hear from many of you and appreciate your input. Thanks for coming and joining in our conversation. Special thanks to Bob Crow, Shirley Hoogstra and David Diephouse for being so willing to open up and share with us. We have set up a Discussion Board on KnightVision because we want to keep you informed and we want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to tell us, and the Calvin Community what you think. Please feel free to share your ideas. We want to hear from you! And we want to keep you informed. Let's show that we can be a community who can raise questions and offer ideas that in the long run will make Calvin a better place.
