Campus Safety Report
Monday 10/01
-At 1:30 a.m. Campus Safety found a vehicle in the parking lot near Zeta-Lamda Hall with two windows rolled down. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and came to the scene. While checking the vehicle for any missing items several containers of alcohol were found in the vehicle. The information on the owner was turned over to the Dean's Office for further action.
-At 7:05 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in Rooks Hall. A student had fallen from bed and struck her head. The victim was treated at the scene.
-At 11:00 a.m. a maintenance staff member reported that at 9:30 a.m. he parked his vehicle near the Commons loading dock. The staff member stated that when he returned to the vehicle at 10:30 a.m. on today's date he found the rear window of his vehicle broken. Nothing appeared to have been taken from the vehicle.
-At 2:08 p.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in Heimenga Hall. A student had fainted in the hallway. The victim was treated at the scene and refused any further treatment.
Tuesday 10/02
-At 1:30 a.m. Campus Safety heard a car alarm in the PE parking lot. A vehicle was found with the alarm sounding and a broken rear window. The owner was contacted and came to the scene. The owner stated that nothing was missing from the vehicle.
Wednesday 10/03
-At 1:00 a.m. students in a room in Bolt Hall reported that for the last several weeks they had been receiving harassing phone calls. The informational was turned over to the Telecomm Department for further investigation.
-At 2:30 p.m. a Food Service employee reported that at 6:00 a.m. she parked her vehicle in the FAC parking lot. The employee stated that when she returned to the vehicle at 2:30 p.m. on today's date she found damage to the driver's side rear panel.
Thursday 10/04
-At 1:55 p.m. a staff member reported that building materials used for the Nature Preserve had been removed from a stockpile at the northeast entrance of the East Beltline parking lot. The staff member stated the supplies were observed in the area on Tuesday, Oct. 2, and discovered missing on today's date.
Sunday 10/06
-At 1:05 a.m. Campus Safety investigated a violation of the campus alcohol policy in the Rooks-VanDellen short term parking lot. A student was found intoxicated and incoherent. Friends and her Resident Assistant drove the victim to Spectrum Health Blodget for treatment. The information on the student was turned over to the Resident Director and the Dean's Office for further action.
