Tuesday 4/24
-At 1:00 a.m. Campus Safety observed a vehicle that failed to stop at a stop sign on campus. The vehicle was approached and the passenger was observed to be intoxicated. The information on the student involved was turned over to the Deans Office for further action.
-At 9:00 p.m. Campus Safety assisted the Boer-Bennink Residence Hall staff in a room and vehicle search. The information on the items found was documented and turned over to the Deans Office for further action.
Wednesday 4/25
-At 12:35 a.m. a student reported receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from Campus Safety. The student stated that the caller told her that her vehicle had been broken into and had suffered fire damage. The owner of the vehicle stated she knew the call was not legitimate since the caller told her that the vehicle was in the Fine Arts Center lot when the vehicle was in fact parked in the Kalsbeek-Huizinga parking lot.
-At 11:00 p.m. a female student reported that when she went to her vehicle parked in the southwest parking lot she observed a male subject in the vehicle parked in the adjacent space exposing himself. The student stated that the male subject exited his vehicle and inappropriately touched her. The student stated she got into her vehicle, locked the doors, and followed the suspects vehicle and obtained a license number. The Grand Rapids Police responded to the scene and the information on the suspect and vehicle was turned over to them for further investigation.
Thursday 4/26
-At 10:20 p.m. a student reported that at 3:00 p.m. on todays date she was carrying some items down the corridor in Boer-Bennink Residence Hall when she dropped her wallet. The student stated she continued to a friends room with the items and when she returned moments later for her wallet, the wallet was missing.
Friday 4/27
-At 12:05 p.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in the FAC. A student had fainted while standing on the risers in the auditorium. The victim was treated at the scene and escorted to her residence hall room.
-At 1:05 p.m. a student reported that as she passed Kalsbeek-Huizinga Residence Hall a water balloon was thrown from a third floor window. The student stated that the balloon struck her purse and broke, spilling water into her purse. The student stated that her cell phone in her purse was damaged by the water.
Saturday 4/28
-At 4:30 p.m. a student reported that at 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, she parked her vehicle in the parking area near Kappa Residence Hall. The student stated that when she returned to her vehicle on todays date she found the radio antenna missing from the vehicle and scratches on the hood of the vehicle.
Sunday 4/29
-At 1:06 a.m. Campus Safety found that several parking signs had been removed from their posts in the Kalsbeek-Huizinga parking lot.
