The words of Hope College’s head basketball coach Glen Van Wieren say it best: “It was not a Hope day.” That day was the day of the most anticipated NCAA D-III game of the year - the day the dramatic Calvin-Hope men’s basketball rivalry claimed another page in the history books as Calvin defeated Hope 95-85 in front of a sell out crowd of 4,500 fans on Saturday, Jan. 20.

A search committee has nominated Dr. Cornelius Plantinga, Dean of the Chapel, as the next President of the Calvin Theological Seminary.

Plantinga, who has served as Dean of the Chapel since 1996, is no stranger to the Seminary, having taught there as a professor from 1979 to 1996. Still, Plantinga’s years of service to the college have left impressions that will be felt in his likely absence.
